Saint Christopher

St Christopher Church is a magnificent church located beside a river at Tivim village in Bardez. Founded in 1627, this church is famous for the ancient statues of St Michael, St Sebastian and St Thomas. The aesthetically carved pulpit of the church is one of the most attractive features. St Christopher Church has faced numerous battles and bloodshed. Renovated in 1720, the church attracts a large number of devotees. Devotees believe that they can get rid of various diseases by worshipping here. This church is located in Mapusa.
