Ingredients :
1 kg beef
2 tsps. Salt
2 tsps freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp. Ginger -garlic paste
2 tbsps. Vinegar
4 tbsps. Oil
4 large potatoes (sliced)
4 eggs
Preparation :
Cut the beef into four, ¼ inch thick slices. Flatten them well with a tenderizer. Mix the next 4 ingredients to a paste and apply on either side of the steaks. Pound them once again and set aside in a cool place for 4 or 5 hours.
Take a heavy pan, or a karai, heat it, add 1 tablespoon oil and fry one steak on high heat for 3 minutes. Turn it and fry the other side for another 3 minutes. Repeat this with the remaining steaks. Keep the steaks in a warm pan, covered.
To the juices that are left or dried in the pan, ad half a teaspoon of flour mixed in a little water. Add salt, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, bring to a boil and pour over the streaks before serving. Add salt to the potatoes slices and fry them. Fry the eggs too. Each steak should be served with fried potatoes and an egg.
