Ingredients :
250 gms margarine or butter
250 gms sugar (ground)
250 gms white flour
6 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
60 ml sweet wine
12 walnuts (cut into small pieces)
2 tbsp cocoa
Preparation :
Beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
Add egg yolks, sieved flour along with the baking powder, slightly beaten egg whites, cocoa, wine and chopped walnuts. Mix well.
Grease a cake tin, put the cake mixture and bake in a pre-heated oven until ready.
Once cold cover and decorate the cake with chocolate butter icing.
For Chocolate Butter Icing
200 gms icing sugar
100 gms margarine or butter
2 tbsp cocoa
Method:
Mix butter, icing sugar and cocoa. Cover and decorate the cake.
